Report: RG3 Having Surgery for Torn ACL, LCL

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is having surgery today for a torn ACL and LCL in his knee.

ESPN reports renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews and his team discovered the ACL tear and is operating on the franchise player, who badly hurt his knee in last week’s playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Sources told ESPN that Andrews believes Griffin could be ready for the start of the 2013 season.
