Jeb Bush Offer to Buy Miami Marlins Rejected
Former Florida Governor and possible 2016 presidential candidate Jeb Bush's offer to buy the Miami Marlins baseball team was reportedly denied.
Owner Jeffrey Loria "rejected overtures from a half dozen people who expressed interest in buying the Marlins," including Bush.
According to the Miami Herald, "Bush made a 'large offer' to buy the team this offseason, but Loria told him he’s not selling." Other have said "Bush had put together a group of wealthy investors," and Venezuelan media mogul Gustavo Cisneros may have been a part of the group.
Former President George W. Bush - Jeb's brother - once owned the Texas Rangers.
