Rice reportedly told the woman, who was suffering from concussion-like symptoms, “Did I hit you? It was a bad shot. I’m really sorry.”
The Stanford professor, who became one of the first two females to become a member at August National Golf Club, also had an assistant ask for the spectator’s phone number so she could check on her health.
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am pairs some of the world’s top golfers with celebrities, executives, and dignitaries.
