Trouble in Paradise: Four Alabama players Arrested

Fresh off their third national championship in four years, the Alabama Crimson Tide have a problem. It is a problem that Nick Saban is sure to deal with swiftly, but it is a problem nonetheless.

Four Alabama freshmen were arrested Monday night, three of which were arrested on second-degree robbery charges while the fourth was arrested for fraudulent use of a debit or credit card.

The players in question are defensive end D.J. Pettway, linebacker Tyler Hayes, safety Eddie Williams (pictured), and H-Back Brent Calloway, the lone player not charged with robbery. All, with the exception of former five-star recruit Eddie Williams who redshirted this season, were contributors during Alabama’s title run.

According to AL.com, Williams was also booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail on Sunday for carrying a pistol without a license. This is not the first incident for Calloway either after previously being arrested on marijuana troubles.

The incident has some similarity to an incident involving four Auburn players after their national title in 2010. Nick Saban, a known disciplinarian, is unlikely to ignore this behavior.
