Agent: Pistorius Disputes Premeditated Murder Charge

On Friday, Oscar Pistorius’s agent said the sprinter who was formally charged with the premeditated murder of his girlfriend, model Reeva Skeenkamp, will dispute the charge in the “strongest possible terms.”

South African prosector Gerrie Nel charged Pistorius on Friday with premeditated murder at the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court.

On Thursday, Pistorius was arrested after reportedly shooting Skeenkamp four times through a bathroom door. Police reportedly found Skeenkamp’s body in Pistorius’s bathroom.

In 2012, Pistorius became the first double below-the-knee amputee to compete in the Summer Olympics, making it to the men’s 400m semifinals in London.
