Report: Mike Holmgren in Talks to Join Raiders

The Oakland Raiders, an organization with a reputation for front office chaos and confusion, are reportedly in discussions with former Packers and Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren to take on a leadership role in football operations with the franchise.

Holmgren was most recently team president of the Cleveland Browns until he stepped down when new ownership took over.

Although Holmgren was unable to turn around the Browns organization, he has a strong reputation for building consistent winners and would bring much needed stability to a Raiders organization that has not had on-field success for a decade.

There is also an added appeal for the Raiders of pairing Holmgren with Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie, who collaborated with the legendary coach in Green Bay.

As the Raiders continue to seek to rebuild the organization that had fallen into disarray in the final years of Al Davis, they have also targeted Ray Anderson, the NFL Senior Vice President of Football Operations.

The organization has not commented on these reports, but it is clear that there is a significant effort underway in Oakland to restructure a once proud franchise as they seek to return glory to the Silver and Black.
