Report: Pistorius to Officer on Night of Killing: 'I Always Win'

Oscar Pistorius may be reportedly on the verge of suicide, but the “blade runner” who has been charged with the premeditated murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day was defiant to an officer who warned him on the night of Steenkamp’s death that the double below-the-knee Olympian could go to jail for a long time.

In the BBC documentary that aired on Monday, “Oscar Pistorius: What really happened?,” Pistorius, when told by an officer after he was arrested that he could go to jail for a “very long time,” responded by saying,”I’ll survive. I always win.”

Pistorius is currently out on bond but has reportedly been selling all of his assets in preparation for the trial. Since his home is a murder scene, Pistorius, under the current terms of his bond, cannot go back to his gated community in Pretoria, South Africa while awaiting trial.
