CBS Enjoying Madness Revenue, ESPN Set to be Challenged

March is the one month CBS Sports dominates ESPN in sportsrevenue due to the $1 billion in ad revenue for the March Madness telecasts on CBS, TBS, TNT and TRU TV.

Typically, ESPN stands alone, dominating the revenue.

However, beginning August 17, Fox Sports 1 will provide a year-round challenge to ESPN. Now, the other eleven months of the year will feature free market competition in sports coverage.
