Final Breitbart Sports Mock Draft: Chiefs Go with Fisher

The 2013 NFL Draft continues to be very difficult to call with no shortage of depth and a major void in elite, can't miss prospects. As the draft approaches, trades are looking increasingly likely and smokescreens and misdirection will define the next several hours. When the draft launches, offensive tackles will be the hot items, beginning with Eric Fisher at the top of the draft. Plenty of trades could shake up the top of the draft, but these are our projections.

  1. Kansas City Chiefs select OT Eric Fisher, Central Michigan- A real coin flip with Luke Joecker, but Fisher should be the guy.
  2. Jacksonville Jaguars select DE Dion Jordan, Oregon- A tough call, but ultimately, the Jags go with the elite pass rushing Duck.
  3. Oakland Raiders select DE Ezekiel Ansah, BYU- This has been a spot for defensive tackles, and that very well could happen. Ansah, however makes a lot of sense here if Reggie McKenzie likes him
  4. Philadelphia Eagles select OT Luke Joeckel, Texas A&M- A true wild card selection for Chip Kelly, but it is hard to imagine Joeckel slipping past this point.
  5. Detroit Lions select OT Lane Johnson, Oklahoma- It looks increasingly likely that none of the “Big 3” will make it out of the top 5.
  6. Cleveland Browns select CB Dee Milliner, Alabama- Would be an elite opposite corner from Joe Haden.
  7. Arizona Cardinals select OG Chance Warmack, Alabama- With none of the top tackles left, the Cardinals address the line with a prospect that many feel is the best in the draft.
  8. Buffalo Bills select QB Ryan Nassib, Syracuse- A major reach here, but the Bills would like to reunite Nassib with his former coach.
  9. New York Jets select OLB Barkevious Mingo, LSU- I do not see Rex Ryan passing on the chance to take an elite defender with this pick. Mingo could go earlier as the Browns are rumored to like him.
  10. Tennessee Titans select DT Sharrif Floyd, Florida- The Titans have long been linked to Warmack, but if Floyd falls in their lap, it is hard to see them passing on the disruptive defender if he is available at #10.
  11. San Diego Chargers select OG Jonathan Cooper, North Carolina- San Diego would love to get a tackle, but they will find a great pick up in Cooper.
  12. Miami Dolphins select TE Tyler Eifert, Notre Dame- Eifert is a phenomenal talent and pretty close to a “sure thing.” Corner could go here as well
  13. New York Jets select CB D.J. Hayden, Houston- The elite corner suffered a life threatening injury this season, but has survived and been cleared to now rise up the draft boards where the Jets will be thrilled to pounce. Quarterback is very possible here as well.
  14. Carolina Panthers select DT Star Lotulelei, Utah- This is ridiculously low for Lotulelei, and, if he is available here, the team cannot afford to pass up on him. Otherwise, this team needs to give Cam Newton some receivers.
  15. New Orleans Saints select LB Jarvis Jones, Georgia- Based on in-game production this season, Jones should be the highest player drafted in this class. However, because of his spinal stenosis and poor workouts, Jones may fall to New Orleans, and the Saints will be getting a disruptive force off the edge.
  16. St. Louis Rams select WR Tavon Austin-The Rams would love to bolster their interior offensive line, but with Warmack and Cooper off the board, they give Bradford a coveted weapon.
  17. Pittsburgh Steelers select WR Cordarelle Patterson, Tennessee- The Steelers could go with a linebacker here, but, if Patterson is available, they will be hard pressed to pass up on the elite playmaker.
  18. Dallas Cowboys select DT Sheldon Richardson, Missouri- With the Cowboys transitioning to a 4-3, Richardson is the perfect selection and is a great value at #18.
  19. New York Giants select LB Alec Ogletree, Georgia- One of the more talented prospects in the entire draft, Ogletree needs go into a good situation. The Giants and Tom Coughlin could be the organization to straighten him out. If they do, they will be getting a special player.
  20. Chicago Bears select LB Kevin Minter, LSU- Too often overlooked, Minter is highly productive and has 4.67 speed to answer questions about his range.
  21. Cincinnati Bengals select S Kenny Vaccaro, Texas- Most do not have the standout Longhorn falling this far, but the Bengals desperately need a safety and would be thrilled to have the consensus #1 prospect at the position fall into their laps at #21.
  22. St. Louis Rams select S Jonathan Cyprien, Florida International- Cyprien, in my opinion, is the best safety in this class and will develop into a Pro Bowl caliber player very quickly.
  23. Minnesota Vikings select LB Manti Te’o, Notre Dame- Te’o to the Vikings continues to gain traction, and, if they pull the trigger here, this would be BY FAR the biggest reach of the draft.
  24. Indianapolis Colts select DE Bjoern Werner, Florida State- The Colts could really use an upgrade at the position and Werner is a great value here. UCLA’s Datone Jones or Werner’s teammate Tank Carradine could also get looks at this spot if the Colts go this route.
  25. Minnesota Vikings select WR DeAndre Hopkins, Clemson- After dealing Harvin, the Vikings need a steady weapon for Christian Ponder, and Hopkins, though not flashy, gets the job done.
  26. Green Bay Packers select RB Eddie Lacy, Alabama- Aaron Rodgers could use some run support, and Lacy solidifies the position and keeps the pressure off one of the NFL’s best. While most are not projecting this selection, this makes too much sense for Green Bay for it not to happen.
  27. Houston Texans select WR Justin Hunter, Tennessee- Hunter is talented, but inconsistent. Nevertheless, he is a great value here for Houston which can allow Hunter to develop us a #2 option while grooming him as an eventual #1 when aging Andre Johnson retires/and or fades beyond #1 status.
  28. Denver Broncos select CB Xavier Rhodes, Florida State- While the Broncos could use some help at defensive end, they will find it difficult to pass on a talent like Rhoades if he falls into their laps at #28.
  29. New England Patriots select DE Margus Hunt, SMU- The freakishly athletic Estonian would be perfect in the 3-4. Very new to football, he has steadily improved every year and could be a monster in the NFL.
  30. Atlanta Falcons select CB Desmond Trufant, Washington- This is too late for the talented Trufant and a steal for the Falcons. If this works out, the cost cutting move to release Dunta Robinson will look like a stroke of genius.
  31. San Francisco 49ers select S Matt Elam, Florida- The rich get richer as the NFC Champion 49ers land an elite, physical, play making safety. The Niners have more picks than any other team in the draft.
  32. Baltimore Ravens select LB Arthur Brown, Kansas State- Another great scenario works out for the Super Bowl champions. Brown is extremely versatile and fills a MAJOR need.
