Sack Artist to Launch 'Miller Farms'
Since entering the NFL in 2011, Denver Broncos outside linebacker has
been an edge rushing menace, raking in 30 sacks in his two seasons in
the league. Now, the elite defender wants to strike fear into the hearts
of poultry in addition to quarterbacks.
The Texas A&M graduate majored in poultry science and now is
hoping to launch "Miller Farms" after acquiring his first 38 chickens.
"Getting into the poultry industry is something that I always wanted to
do," said Miller. "I just didn’t want to go out and buy a [chicken] house and do all
this stuff and throw money at all that stuff. I really wanted to get to
the fundamentals, get back to just raising chicks, and I’m just going to
go from there. I raised chicks in college in class and stuff, but now
it’s just a project for me to do it on my own and see where I go with
Miller noted that the chickens were in Dallas, not Denver, due to the
weather, but he plans to one day turn this into a major operation. The
former Aggie will likely remain more focused on helping the contending
Broncos win a Super Bowl, however, he clearly has options should those
plans go "fowl."
