ROY Lillard Headlines All-Rookie Team

This time last year, few had heard of Damian Lillard, the quick point guard from Weber State (by the way, that’s in Utah). Now, Lillard is coming off a stellar season with the Portland Trailblazers and has been named Rookie of the Year.

On Tuesday, he added to his growing list of accomplishments when he was named the unanimous choice for All-Rookie Team, a fitting honor following a season where he averaged 19 points and 6.5 assists per game.

Anthony Davis (Hornets/Pelicans), the 2012 #1 overall pick who averaged 13.5 points per game, and Bradley Beal (Wizards), who averaged 13.9 ppg, were the second-place vote getters.

Joining Lillard, Davis, and Beal on the first team were Dion Waiters (Cavs) and Harrison Barnes (Warriors) while Andre Drummond (Pistons), Jonas Valanciunas (Raptors), Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (Bobcats), Kyle Singler (Pistons), and Tyler Zeller (Cavs) formed the second team.
