Matt Kemp Pledges $250K to Tornado Victims

After pledging to donate $1,000 for every home run he hits until the All-Star break to the victims of the Oklahoma tornado, Los Angeles Dodgers superstar said he would also donate $250,000 to the relief efforts.

“Dear Families of OKC,

On Monday, out of concern and emotion I committed $1,000.00 for every home run I hit until the All-Star Break. It was a quick and small gesture in advance of what I knew would be my greater contribution through your rebuilding process. I am keeping my pledge and in addition, donating $250,000.00. May God bless you through this and the many generous donations coming to your aid.

-Matt Kemp #PrayforOklahoma”

Kemp attended high school in Oklahoma, and this is one of many good deeds he has done. Two weeks ago, Kemp literally took his uniform off his back and his cleats off his feat, in addition to the cap off of his head, to make the day of a fan of his in San Francisco who was terminally ill with cancer.
