Jason Collins: Can't Wait to Meet FLOTUS at DNC LGBT Fundraiser

First Lady Michelle Obama and liberal donors will celebrate Jason Collins Wednesday night at a Democratic National Committee LGBT gala fundraiser in New York City, which Collins will headline. 

Collins tweeted that he could not wait to meet Michelle Obama, Sara Bareilles, DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Bravo’s Andy Cohen.

Since Collins became the first openly gay player in major American professional sports to come out to the media, he has been celebrated by liberals and the mainstream press, and Democrats did not waste time in turning his newfound popularity into fundraising dollars.
