No Points for Pittsburgh's Crosby, Malkin in Series

Pittsburgh Penguins superstars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin combined for zero points in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Boston Bruins swept the Penguins out of the playoffs on Friday.

Crosby and Malkin got distracted and tried to take on Boston’s tougher defenders and got thrown off their game throughout the series. Crosby’s performance in Game 2 was abysmal.

Malkin almost got his first goal and point in the most dramatic fashion with less than a minute left in the third period to tie the game and send the game into overtime, but Boston defender and captain Zdeno Charo blocked Malkin’s shot into a nearly open net with his glove.

Pittsburgh, a team that did not get shut out during the season, got shut out twice in the series.
