Tebow Contract: 2 Years, No Guaranteed Money

Tebow Contract: 2 Years, No Guaranteed Money

The New England Patriots formally announced the signing of quarterback Tim Tebow on Tuesday.

The contract, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, is reportedly for two years with no money guaranteed, which means the Patriots will not owe Tebow any money if they cut him.

As Pro Football Talk notes, the Patriots are not risking anything by signing Tebow. And should Tebow make the team and perform well, the two-year contract ensures there will not be a circus in the offseason about whether Tebow will return next year, as there was this offseason in New York.
