A's Owner Apologizes for Stadium Sewage Leak: 'It Stinks'

Oakland A’s owner Lew Wolff apologized  to the Seattle Mariners for the raw sewage leak at the Oakland Coliseum on Sunday.

Because of the leak, both teams had to use the Oakland Raiders locker room facilities to shower.

“It’s all a bunch of crap,” Wolff told USA TODAY. “It’s a sad situation. I’m not the one in charge of raw sewage. Then again, maybe I am.”

He also said it’s been “a continuing problem” at the 46-year-old stadium the cash-strapped city and the “joint partners don’t have the funds to maintain the facility.”

“It’s not up to us to maintain it,” he said. “It stinks.”
