LeBron Awarded Back-to-Back Finals MVPs

LeBron James was named the NBA finals MVP for the second straight year on Thursday when Miami defeated San Antonio in Game 7 95-88.

Miami was in the Finals for the third straight year, and James dominated Game 7 with 37 points and 12 rebounds.

He controlled the game in the fourth quarter and made a jumper to put Miami up by four, 92-88, to virtually clinch the game in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter.

James said he was spent, and this was the toughest title run because of the quality of teams Miami played.

San Antonio preferred James beat them with his jumpers rather than his drives, and James made them pay with mid-range shots. It must have been more satisfying for James because that was considered a weakness in his game, and James has constantly sought to improve his mid-range shooting.

James said he would take more than two weeks off for the first time in two years and come back with his teammates to go for a three-peat.

After the game, the basketball prodigy who is considered to have the highest basketball IQ said he still gains more satisfaction from getting assists than scoring.
