Police: Witness Claims Hernandez Admitted Firing Fatal Shots to Other Witness

Documents reveal that a person linked to the murder of Odin Lloyd reportedly told authorities that another man linked to the same murder told him that Aaron Hernandez admitted he shot Lloyd at an industrial park less than a mile away from Hernandez’s home.

According to documents that were “filed in court by the Miramar, Fla., police department to justify a search of [Ernest] Wallace’s home in that city,” Carlos Ortiz reportedly told Massachusetts investigators that Wallace “said Hernandez admitted shooting Odin Lloyd in an industrial park near Hernandez’s Massachusetts home.”

According to prosecutors, Ortiz and Wallace “were with Hernandez when Lloyd was killed, but they haven’t said who filed the fatal shots.”

This is a case of double hearsay, to say the least, and the revelations come on the day search warrant documents in the Hernandez case were unsealed, revealing, among other things, that Hernandez slammed the door and locked it behind him when police first informed him they were conducting a death investigation.

Hernandez pled not guilty to the first-degree murder of Lloyd and will be in jail until his trial resumes after having been denied bail twice.

Wallace pled not guilty after being charged with being an accessory to Lloyd’s murder, and he is being held without bail. Ortiz is also in jail after being “arraigned last month on a charge of illegally carrying a firearm on the day of the shooting.” He also pled not guilty.
