Estranged Husband: Martina Hingis a Serial Cheater

The estranged husband of former women’s tennis great Martina Hingis said he walked in on Hingis cheating on him with another man and has explosively accused her of being a serial adulterer.

According to the London Evening Standard, French equestrian Thibault Hutin, 26, who is six years younger than Hingis, 32, told a Swiss newspaper that a year after their wedding, “we were supposed to meet in New York and I wanted to giver her a surprise. Upon arriving at the hotel room it was me that was surprised, because Martina was not alone.”

These revelations come before Hingis is set to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame this weekend in Rhode Island.

Hutin said he forgave Hingis for the indiscretion and then, “last year I found out that she had cheated on me again.”

“Martina has a very personal conception of morality. She has always been like that; I think she has always been unfaithful to her boyfriends,” he said.

Hutin said he did not know the couple had separated until he read about it in a magazine. Hingis “had only just broken off her engagement to Swiss attorney Andreas Bieri when she met Hutin at a show-jumping competition in St. Tropez in April 2010.”

As the Standard noted, Hingis was the game’s best player for 209 weeks, dominating her opponents despite her size, but had to retire from the game in 2002 at the age of 22. She then “made a return to tennis in 2006 but quit a year later after testing positive for cocaine in a routine drug test.” She has disputed having ever used the drug.
