Titans Rookie Saves Family, Dog from Burning Car

Tennessee Titans rookie Jonathan Willard saved a family and its dog from a burning car on Tuesday.

The rookie out of Clemson was reportedly "traveling from South Carolina to report to the Titans' training camp when he encountered the family in distress on Interstate 40 in Tennessee."

"I saw this car in front of me, and it had all kinds of black smoke coming out of it," Willard told TigerNet.com, a site that reports on Clemson athletics. "I tried to speed up and get up next to the car to let them know the car was on fire."

Willard and another man pulled over by the car, saw the driver in a daze, and pulled the family and its dog out the car safely. The woman driving the car apparently did not stop because she did not think it was her car that was on fire.
