Whistleblower: NCAA, NBA, MMA Athletes Also Implicated in PED Scandal

The whistleblower and former Biogenesis clinic employee who turned in documents that reportedly implicated baseball players like Ryan Braun and Alex Rodriguez in the most recent performance-enhancing drug scandal says there are more players in other sports purchased drugs from the clinic.

Porter Fischer, described as “the former Biogenesis of Miami clinic employee who turned boxes of documents over to the Miami New Times last year,” said athletes from “the NBA, NCAA, professional boxing, tennis and MMA, in addition to other professional baseball players who have not yet been identified,” have been on performance-enhancing drug regimens since 2009.

He told ESPN that, according to his knowledge, there were no clients from the NFL or NHL, but “there were more than people realize” from the other sports. He said the number could be in the hundreds.
