Andrew Wiggins in Line for Huge Endorsement Money

Andrew Wiggins, the high school basketball sensation who surprisingly picked Kansas as his school of choice earlier this year, has not even played his first college game. However, his talent has paved the way for some near certain mega-bucks the moment he declares for the NBA Draft.

The hoops star who has often been compared to LeBron James is reportedly set to be offered a $180 million deal by Addidas, and Nike could jump in to make the endorsement deal an all-out bidding war.

For Nike, the hope is that Wiggins would fill the shoes of the aging Kobe Bryant on their roster of star endorsements that include LeBron James and Kevin Durant. Adidas features Derrick Rose and would be looking at Wiggins as a cornerstone of their brand moving forward.

Supposedly, such a deal would be for ten years, an incredible amount of time given Wiggins’s youth and the plethora of things that could go wrong once he enters the NBA. Still, the major endorsers look to be betting, and betting big, that the Jayhawk will quickly join the ranks of the NBA elite.
