Minnesota Timberwolves center and UCLA alum Kevin Love had some fun when after it was revealed that NBA general managers voted him as the player who makes the most of his “limited natural ability.”
Love is an athletic big man who, at 6′ 10″, was one of the top recruits coming out of high school. At UCLA, he was known for his pinpoint passing and often started fast breaks after made baskets. In the NBA, he has developed mid-range and outside shots and has turned himself into a true dual threat and one of the most skilled and versatile players in the game. He is also a monster on the boards, he has had a 30-30 game in addition to 30-20 and numerous 20-20 games in the league.
He has plenty of “natural ability,” but Love joked on Twitter on Tuesday that he had simply been awarded the “White Guy” award.
NBA analyst and former player Steve Kerr joked with Love on Twitter that being white is a “disease that we will face for a lifetime. There is no cure!”
