Soccer Teams to Strike After France Pres. Says He Won't Drop 75% 'Super Tax'

President Francois Hollande told French football chiefs Thursday he would not drop plans for a 75 percent tax on high earners, prompting clubs to maintain plans for a strike.

Hollande said after a meeting with club presidents that the tax would apply to "all companies concerned" including football clubs, while the head of the UCPF club union said the strike would go ahead in the last week of November.
