NFL Playoffs: Seahawks, Broncos Secure Top Seeds

NFL Playoffs: Seahawks, Broncos Secure Top Seeds

The Seattle Seahawks will be the top seed in the NFC and the Denver Broncos will be the No. 1 seed in the AFC after both teams won on Sunday in the final week of the NFL season.

That means both teams will have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Seattle’s CenturyLink Field is arguably the toughest stadium in which to play. This year, Seattle only lost once there, which was also star quarterback Russell Wilson’s first loss at home.

Denver and quarterback Peyton Manning shattered offensive records this year. Manning set the single-season record for most yards and touchdown passes while the Broncos set the single-season record for most points.

Carolina (NFC) and New England (AFC) secured the other byes.

Wildcard Weekend:

AFC:

Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts

San Diego Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals

NFC:

San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers

New Orleans at Philadelphia Eagles
