Dana White Tells Breitbart Sports: It's Good to Keep Kids in Sports

“They are missing the teamwork, putting your team ahead of yourself, perseverance, goal setting, and how to learn from your mistakes,” high school baseball coach Steven LaForest explained in a Breitbart Sports feature on the decline in youth athletics participation. “These are all concepts that can’t be found anywhere else in the lives of students but in sports.”

Dana White, the outspoken president of the UFC, agrees. In an exchange with Breitbart Sports leading up the UFC 169, White opined that participation is “down because it’s expensive” and “times are tough.” He reflected that as a parent he encourages broad participation in sports. “My kids do everything,” White declared. “They skateboard. They surf. They do MMA. They play football. They’re playing basketball now.” Watch his observations on youth sports below….
