Man City Sink Sunderland To Win League Cup Final
LONDON (Reuters) - Two moments of magic in the space of two second-half minutes helped Manchester City to a 3-1 victory over Sunderland in the English League Cup final at Wembley on Sunday.
Sunderland's Fabio Borini struck first at Wembley. But after a half-asleep first half, Man City's Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri scored two stunning goals within two minutes of one another in the early minutes of the second half. Substitute Jesus Navas scored an insurance goal in the match's last minute.
Long second-fiddle to cross-town rival Manchester United, Manchester City won just its second FA Cup final since the 1960s on Sunday. The team had fallen short in the championship match against Wiggan Athletic last year.
