Miller Time: Arizona's Sean Joins Brother Archie at Dayton in Elite Eight

When No. 1 Arizona survived on Thursday night against No. 4 San Diego State for a hard-fought 70-64 win, Arizona head coach Sean Miller joined his little brother Archie Miller in the Elite Eight, making it the first time in history that two brothers have made it to the Elite Eight as head coaches.

Archie’s No. 11 Dayton Flyers had no problems with No. 10 Stanford earlier in the night in the Sweet 16 in the South Regional.

Dayton will face top-seed Florida on Saturday for a trip to the final four while top-seeded Arizona will face No. 2 Wisconsin, a team many thought would have received a No. 1 seed had they won their conference tournament.

Sean Miller played collegiate ball at Pittsburgh while Archie played at NC State. Their father, John Miller, is a legendary high school basketball coach in Western Pennsylvania.
