Cocaine Charges a Nightmare for Boxing Champ Kassim 'The Dream' Ouma

Breitbart News reported on Tuesday that former IBF boxing champ “The Dream” Kassim Ouma was in jail for allegedly assaulting a man who made multiple sexual advances toward him.

According to TMZ Sports, the 35-year-old pugilist has been charged by the L.A. County District Attorney with felony cocaine possession as a result of the incident.

Although Ouma was arrested on suspicion of battery in the April 18th altercation in Hollywood, no charges of battery were filed. However, the charges of cocaine possession could send Ouma to prison for up to three years. Presently, he is being held in custody, and his bail is set at $10,000.

The ex-champ had a movie made about him in 2008, Kassim The Dream, documenting his incredible story of being kidnapped at the age of six to fight for a rebel army in Uganda as a child soldier. As the rebels took over the government of Uganda, Ouma remained in the army for twelve years and admitted to committing terrible atrocities. Ultimately, “The Dream” defected from Uganda and made his way to the US, where he enjoyed considerable success as a professional boxer.
