What could be better than having your sainted mother seeing you hit a home run as she is being interviewed on TV during her birthday? Well, Twins player Chris Colabello found out just how great that can be this week.
On her birthday, the Twins player’s mom, Silvana Colabell, was being interviewed by Fox Sports during the April 23 game between the Twins and the Tampa Bay Rays. And just as the reporter introduced mom and dad Colabell, son Chris took to the plate and blasted a two-run home run deep into center field.
After he ran the bases, Colabell’s elated mother said, “I’m just so happy.”
Congratulations, Chris, that was quite a birthday present for your mom!
