Magic Johnson on Sterling Interview: I'd Rather Be Talking About NBA Playoffs

Former Los Angeles Lakers great Magic Johnson was bombarded with comments about Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s rambling interview on Monday and vicious comments about him, but he simply tweeted that he would rather talk about the NBA playoffs than the interview.

In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Sterling said Johnson was a bad example for children because he slept with every woman in every city and got HIV. Sterling also accused Johnson of not helping minorities as much as Jews and telling him not to say anything immediately after audio recordings in which Sterling told V. Stiviano not to bring “black people” to his games.

Sterling’s interview again dominated and big-footed one of the best NBA playoffs in recent memory. Read more about that here in an excellent piece by a sportswriter who gets the time and space to write about such matters — even during the playoffs.
