California Chrome 2-5 Belmont Stakes Favorite

California Chrome, which has gone from even money to a clear favorite against the Belmont Stakes field, races with 2-5 odds on Saturday. He runs out of the second gate. Next best in the minds of oddsmakers is Tonalist, which runs at 8-1, and then Wicked Strong, which bookies give 10-1 odds to win.

The Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner races to become the first horse since 1978’s Affirmed to win the Triple Crown. California Chrome would be just the twelfth horse to capture the Triple Crown should he win Saturday’s mile-and-a-half race in New York.
