MLS Game Canceled After Lightning Strikes Soccer Fan

Saturday night’s MLS soccer game between the Columbus Crew and FC Dallas in Ohio was cancelled after an off-duty firefighter was reportedly struck by lightning.

The Crew said the game was cancelled “for reasons out of our control” and due the “incident surrounding the inclement weather.”

The firefighter was reportedly in the “parking lot outside the Crew’s stadium when severe storms rolled through the area around 8 p.m. E.T.,” and was reportedly given CPR.
