Six-year-old Kansas City Royals fan Noah Wilson has undergone 12 rounds of chemotherapy and 28 rounds of radiation to cure his cancer, which hit at about the same time that the Kansas City Royals started their season. A different dose of medicine came in the form of 16 World Series tickets.

The underdog who has been watching the Royals’s underdog run from a hospital bed at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City will watch the team’s story continue from a considerably improved vantage point in Kauffman Stadium. Wilson looks to attend Game Two with his family.
A neighbor of the boy started a GoFundMe campaign that raised over $10,000 for World Series tickets. StubHub, Joe Torre, Ellen DeGeneres, and so many others helped. The kid with no tickets now has 16, most of which he plans to donate to other suffering children.
The $10K or so raised for ballgame tickets can now go to medical bills to fight Ewing sarcoma. They can carry a higher pricetag than even a World Series ticket, which averages over $1,300 this year.
