Floyd Mayweather Finally Admits a Gambling Loss

“Why doesn’t anyone tweet out the wager receipt when they lose?” we asked last week. Floyd Mayweather apparently reads.

The undefeated welterweight finally posted a sports-book defeat. After grabbing close to $800,000 on the Cardinals over the homedog Raiders on Sunday, Mayweather’s luck ran out on Monday by betting the moneyline (getting odds instead of points) on the Texans. He posted his losing receipt on Instagram.

The Steelers scored 21 points in 73 seconds late in the first half. They defeated the Texans 30-23.

Mayweather’s defeat probably hurt his ego more than his wallet. He lost a mere $20,000. He pocketed a guaranteed $32 million from his fight last month against Marcos Maidana.

The casinos giveth. And the casinos taketh right back.
