Missing Broncos Fan Found

Did he mistake a Peyton Manning “Omaha” for a “Pueblo”?

A missing Denver Broncos fan has been found 112 miles from Mile High.

“He said he had his fill of football and that he likes to walk and wander,” Pueblo Police Sgt. Franklyn Ortega told the Associated Press, “and he was looking for a warmer place.”

Paul Kitterman’s son said his dad had his fill of only four or five beers, which tends to embolden one against the elements. But the mercury approached 70 degrees at kickoff of Thursday’s Broncos-Chargers game. Is the parking lot of a Pueblo Salvation Army that much a “warmer place” than Denver?

A friend’s ex-wife spotted the missing man in New Mexico and contacted authorities. Kitterman, whose disappearance garnered national attention, maintains his ignorance in the interest in his whereabouts. Thursday’s was his first, and perhaps last, Broncos game.

“He’s a grown man,” the Pueblo policeman maintained. “If that’s what he wants to do, he can do it.”
