Gibbs: Obama Will Have 'Exceptionally Strong Debate Performance'

Robert Gibbs told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" panel this morning: "Look, I think you're gonna see an exceptionally strong debate performance tonight from the President. I think you'll see somebody who will be strong, passionate, he'll be energetic. [He] will talk about, as you all have been talking about on the set, not just the last four years, but what the agenda is for the future and how we continue to move our country and our economy forward, strengthening the middle class. I think that's what you'll hear tonight from the President."

NBC's Chuck Todd laughed a Gibbs and called his statement a "narrative change" from previous debate expectations by the campaign.
