Carney: 'No One Is Taking The Fall' For Benghazi, Accountability 'Sufficient' For President

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney had two lengthy exchanges with CBS Major Garrett and Fox News’ Ed Henry over whether the President thought the steps taken in reaction to the report released by the Accountability Review Board detailing the security failures that led to tragic consequences after an attack on the US Special Mission in Libya earlier this year. Ed Henry pointed out that the top officials in the Administration said the “buck stops” with them and took full responsibility for the security failures. Now that State Department officials below that level have resigned in response to the report, Henry pressed Carney on whether that was sufficient accountability for the President. Carney, frustrated with Henry’s line of questioning, said that “no one is taking the fall” and that the President approves of the steps that have been taken.
