PA Mayor Charged with Shooting Gun Inside Home to Demand Sex

James Schiliro, mayor of Marcus Hook, PA, faces criminal charges for a late-March arrest where he was accused of firing a gun in proximity to a young man who would not have sex with him.

Local news station FOX 29 reports:

According to court documents, the mayor is accused of having a police officer pick up a 20-year-old friend in a police cruiser and bring him to his home. Inside, the mayor allegedly served the minor alcohol and asked for sexual favors.

When the man refused, the mayor allegedly told him he was a hostage and fired his gun inside of the home, court documents said.

A law enforcement official said the mayor “retrieved three handguns” in the course of the incident. Schiliro is a member of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, the organization run by New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg to advance stricter gun regulations around the United States.
