White House: 'No' We Didn't Change Talking Points Based On State Dept Concern

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney flatly denied that the administration changed talking points given to Ambassador Rice based on concerns from the State Department. Emails reveal that State Department Spokeswoman Victoria Nuland had concerns about terrorist groups being identified could be used by “Congress” against the State Department. Although White House officials responded to that email saying that Nuland’s concerns needed to be addressed, Carney claims that was just a broad suggestion to make sure that everyone’s voices were heard and was not a directive from the White House to remove any information.
