Reporters Press Carney: Did Holder Mislead Congress?

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney on Wednesday claimed Attorney General Eric Holder did not mislead Congress when he claimed that he had no involvement or knowledge in the Department of Justice’s seizure of reporters’ communications.

Reporters objected strongly that Holder “signed off on a search warrant” for Fox News reporter James Rosen, thus undermining the testimony he gave to Congress. “Are you not involved after signing off on a search warrant?”

“You guys are conflating the subpoena with prosecution,” Carney responded, referring the press pool to statements given earlier by the Department of Justice.
