Marissa Powel, Miss Utah 2013, was tossed a question about equal pay for women on Sunday night. “What does it say about our society,” a judge asked, that it allows women to be paid less than men? Stumbling over her words, Powel tried to tie it to education and she paused mid-sentence to gather her thoughts. Powel eventually surmised, “We need to create education better.”
