Mother of Three Shot And Killed After Iron Bowl Party

HOOVER, AL (WBRC) -A woman has been charged with murder after shooting another woman at an Iron Bowl watch party in Hoover on Saturday. We can now put a name and face with the victim of a Saturday night shooting in Hoover at an Iron Bowl watch party. Friends have identified her as Michelle Shepherd, a mother of three children ages 10, 8 and 5. Hoover Police say Shepherd and another woman got into an argument after the game. They say that argument moved to the parking lot of Summerchase Apartments, and that’s when Shepherd was shot and killed around 7 p.m. Police have identified the suspect as Adrian Laroze Briskey, a 28-year-old from Birmingham. She is accused of fatally shooting Michelle Lacette Shepherd, a 36-year-old mother of three from Birmingham. Police say both women were attending an Iron Bowl party at the Summercase at Riverchase apartment complex in Hoover on Saturday, Nov. 30. They did not know each other prior to the party, according to officials. Authorities say Briskey and Shepherd got into an argument after the game and the fight moved into the parking lot near the 1600 building. Briskey allegedly shot Shepherd with a small caliber handgun just after 7 p.m. Witnesses say Shepherd was shot three times.
