'Today's Announcement Changes Nothing': Boehner Reacts to Shinseki's Resignation

On Friday, Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) reacted to the resignation of the embattled Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki by saying this does not absolve the president of his obligation to take care of our veterans.

Boehner added, “Today’s announcement really changing nothing. One personal change can not be used as an excuse to paper over a systemic problem. Our veterans deserve better and we will hold the president accountable until he makes things right.”
