McCain: Administration Lying About Bergdahl Negotiation

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) told “On the Record” host Greta Van Susteren that the Obama administration has made numerous “absolutely false” statements regarding the prisoner exchange for U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

McCain said that National Security Advisor Susan Rice’s assertion that Congress was notified of the exchange was “just false.” He further informed Van Susteren that claims “that we didn’t do the negotiation with the Taliban, that Qatar did” were also untrue, and “of course, the United States of America was doing [the negotiations].”
