Local Outrage Halts Obama Immigrant Virginia Relocation Plan

Thursday night, a large crowd, many caring “No illegal immigrants,” signs, packed the Brunswick High School auditorium to demand a halt to the Obama administration plan to temporarily house illegal alien children flooding across the U.S.-Mexico border in the now abandon St. Paul’s College in the tiny community of Lawrenceville, VA.

Anger was expressed in the town hall over the plan as residents lined up at the microphone to voice their displeasure to federal officials. One woman said,  “We don’t have really nothing for our children here but yet we can bring other children here and house them”

After the town meeting the feds put the Lawrenceville shelter plan on hold.

Since the start of the budget year more than 47,000 unaccompanied minors have crossed the U.S. Mexico border illegally. Thousands are currently being temporality housed at overcrowded Border Patrol stations in Texas and Arizona while the federal government tries to address the growing humanitarian crisis.
