Al Sharpton Calls for Gun Regs: No One 'Needs' an Automatic Weapon

Wednesday on “The Tom Joyner Morning Show,” MSNBC host Al Sharpton discussed the violence in Chicago over the Fourth of July weekend in which 82 people were shot saying “there must be tougher legislation.”

The civil right leader argued Congress should  stop people in the street’s ability to get guns adding “automatic weapons are not needed for anyone.” He added, “Our communities all over the country not just in Chicago are inundated with guns … We must first take care of the immediate problem and that is the guns in the street. There must be tougher legislation.”
