(Graphic Image Warning) AFP news agency did a video report of Ukrainian victims telling their stories of the brutal torture they suffered by pro-Russian separatists after a new Amnesty International report was released on Friday titled “Abductions and Torture in Eastern Ukraine.” The report detailed the “hundreds” of kidnappings and incidents of torture by pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine.
“With hundreds abducted over the last three months, the time has come to take stock of what has happened, and stop this abhorrent ongoing practice,” Denis Krivosheev, Amnesty International’s Deputy Director of Europe and Central Asia said. “The bulk of the abductions are being perpetrated by armed separatists, with the victims often subjected to stomach-turning beatings and torture.”
