AZ Sheriff: 'There Is No Law' or Consequences on Immigration

Pinal County, AZ Sheriff Paul Babeu declared there is an absence of law and consequences when it comes to immigration on Wednesday’s “CNN Newsroom.”

When asked about his county’s resistance to the transfer of unaccompanied minors to the city of Oracle, and whether any laws were broken by transferring the children, Babeu responded, “If you want to talk about laws being broken, what about the law’s enforced on you and on me and on every other citizen? But when it comes to immigration, there is no law. There [are] no consequences.”

“These kids aren’t going anywhere. So, if you think they are going to be sent back — all of these children, you have another thing coming” Babeu added.  He also said that “the message that was sent to Central America and to Mexico is ‘if you make to it the border you’re home free.’ I have a problem with that.”
