Rep. Tom Cotton (R-AR) argued that President Barack Obama’s foreign policy has given terrorist groups like Hamas an incentive to wage war against Israel in an appearance on Wednesday’s “Laura Ingraham Show.”
“The president has not stood with Israel” Cotton argued. And “John Kerry and Barack Obama re-inserted themselves into the so-called peace process at a time when Israeli and Palestinian relationships were going fine…giving groups like Hamas an excuse to undermine any hopes of any kind of peaceful resolution, and you see the outcome.”
He added “if the president had, from the very beginning of his tenure…said that Israel is a sovereign country and we will always stand with Israel and sent a signal to its enemies that we would not do anything to undermine its national security… a lot of groups that are threatening Israel would have realized they couldn’t gain any traction, that’s not the case.”
